TP&W has the second edition printed and available upon request.
This is a great publication, showing the large and small (not shown on maps) lakes in the following counties around Abilene:
Brown, Callahan,Coke,Coleman,Comanche, Eastland, Haskell, Jones, Nolan, Runnels, Shackleford, Stephens, Taylor, Throckmorton and Young.
There is some great information on little known bodies of water in the above counties with some mapping showing their general location. Many of these small lakes have some outstanding crappie fishing and warm up faster than some of the large lakes. The bass and catfish populations can be outstanding in many of these along with some of the largest bluegill/perch populations in the Big Country. Lake Records are also shown if you are interested in breaking existing records.
Information can be obtained from the Abilene Inland Fisheries District Office.
